HISTORY
KeyPAC was founded in 2004 by an engaged group of African American entrepreneurs and business leaders as a non-partisan political action committee to advocate in matters of economic growth, political empowerment and social equity for Houston’s communities of color. Our platform is powered by the collective strength and ingenuity of our members, the power of our relationships, and a deep understanding of the policies and politics that best affect change.
KeyPAC has a 15-year history of convening business and grassroots leaders of color for highly successful meet and greets with political leaders from both sides of the aisle including Texas’ Governor, Lt. Governor, Supreme Court Chief Justice, Railroad Commissioner, state legislative and national congressional leaders. Our ongoing goal is to create the relationships and understanding necessary to exercise institutional influence in matters that impact our members and communities.
